I'm looking for the name of a crab dip that I have had multiple times at cocktail parties.

It is a layered dip on a platter and isn't mixed(think 7 layer dip instead of queso or spinach and artichoke). The base is a cream cheese sauce spread over the bottom with lump crab on top. And I think I remember green onion and capers. Any help please???

Does it have chili sauce over the cream cheese? That's just called layered crab dip.

Man, I had forgotten all about that dip. Pretty good for a quick fix, might need to make that soon.

As for the name, we just always went with crab dip.

It might have chili sauce over it or maybe just cayenne I'm not sure.

I have a recipe like that in the recipe book. Crabmeat layered dip/spread, I believe. Take a look in the book under appetizers. Works well for parties.
