I am going to Destin in a couple days and was wondering what is the best restaurant here? Money is not a problem on this trip so any recommendation is welcome.
TIA

Drive a little east and go to Stinky's Fish Camp.

I agree with Stinky's. Also, if you dont mind a 20-25 minute drive, go to 30a and get the seafood fricassee from Borago in Grayton Beach. Hands down one of the best meals ive ever had. Cafe 30a is also up there on my list.

We really don't spend much time in destin proper but Bistro Bijoux was really good awhile back. It was a pain in the arse to get too cause you had to deal with baytown wharf which is a nightmare and, as a result, went into a decline. But, apparently, they've moved it out to 98 and it's supposed to be back to its orignal quality.

hell, if you're doing that, go to Cafe Tango which is the best restaurant in the panhandle.

I was just thinking that when I looked at the thread title again.

Vintij (looks can be deceiving)
Ocean Club (at Tops'l)
Louisiana Lagniappe (might just be nostalgia, but always a favorite)
and I 2nd Cafe 30a, and would add Redbar (owned by same people as 30a, both are cash only)

i think only redbar is "cash only" now. we used a DC at cafe 30a every time we've been there. But we did have to use the ATM at redbar to get cash to pay.

Seagar's in sandestin may be my favorite upscale restaurant in the area. Vin-tij is nice too--don't let the strip mall fool you

My favorite restaurant close to Destin is the Cafe Thirty-A in Seaside. If you don't want to drive that far, there are some pretty good places in the Baytown Wharf area such as the Marlin Grill and the Bistro Bijoux.

Thanks guys.
We went to Cuvee, Marlin Grill, and Louisiana Lagniappe last year. All were phenomenal. Seagar's menu looks great, we might check that out this year.

Go to Dewey Destin Seafood (Crab Island Location, NOT Destn Harbor). Time your dinner to coincide with Sunset. Get a bucket of beer and a basket of Royal Red Shrimp. You're Welcome.
