So, I really love the Gaeng Mus-sa-mun at Thadapetch in Leesville. I assume this is the same as massaman curry. If so, any of you know of or have a simple recipe? The ones I am finding require many ingredients we don't normally keep on hand. I've tried the Thai in a box stuff I can find at Kroger, and wasn't thrilled with the outcome. If not simple, then any recommendation would be great. Thanks.

Order some of this if you can't find it at your local store

LINK

Mix with ginger, garlic, green onion, and coconut milk.

We have one restaurant with a small store attached. I'll look for it. Thanks

Whole Foods has an off the shelf sauce that's pretty good.

Wow. I'll have to get friends/relative to pick some up for me. Thanks.

Most US home cooks make Thai curry using ready-mixed seasoning pastes, sold in jars/cans. Thai Kitchen brand is sold widely (WalMart, Winn Dixie, etc). But I think the Mae Ploy brand thai curry pastes are pretty good. Surely available by mail order if not in your area. LINK
