BBQ Shrimp and Gumbo YaYa are musts. If they are offering a soft shell crab order it! I do have to agree about the service being a bit on the rude side.

It would be about the 55th place in the city Id go for a meal.
The bbq shrimp may have been fantastic at one point (and the original updated Gerard Maras' recipe for them in Ralph Brennan's cookbook is awesome) but they arent anymore.
Ive not had a good meal there in some time. But maybe its just me. Nice bar, handsomespace, end of story.

Nice place, but last time yes I had the snobby waiter.
The BBQ shrimp, while the flavor was amazing the shrimp were over cooked and hard to peel not to mention my date was served cold gumbo.
Three strikes in one night is not a good thing with some many other places to spend my money.

It's lunch with family, but I'll be in a coat and tie. I think I'm going to get daring and just go with the BBQ shrimp.

Well peal slowly, They give you a napkin for your front side, but my GF was next to me and splattered shrimp juice all over my white dress shirt. I may have done it myself cause i was sloshed but I blame her.
