Went to central. It was pretty damn good. Beef brisket was solid and that Mac and cheese was someof the best I've ever had.

Gus' is the best fried chicken in the world. I've traveled well out of my way just to stop in at Gus' for lunch.

Tops BBQ Your welcome

Tops is good but there are much, much better. Tops is almost like the fast food of Memphis bbq with a drive thru window and one on every corner.

My favorites are cozy corner, central bbq, and Germantown commissary.

yep...and, if he's staying downtown, he can practically walk to the downtown location. this is a must. Head over to the grizzlies game tonight - they're playing the mavs who they're directly behind in the playoff standings. You can get good seats cheap outside the stadium and this should be a lively one.

if you're looking for catfish, soul fish is probably your best bet, but you'd have to drive to that. Flying Fish (across the street from the peabody) has pretty good catfish too.

I can't believe I've never been to Memphis. I've only driven through it a few times. I need to make a trip up there soon.
