There are a few threads dealing with home made bacon, But, I don't know how far back the search goes.

Actually just started on my first batch last week. Bought a 11 pound pork belly from costco and started the cure last Thursday. Taking it out of the zip loc bags tonight and letting it dry out in the fridge tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to smoke it at around 180 degrees over apple wood until it hits 145 internal temp. Then slice and eat.

I linked where I got my recipe. really easy to do so far.
