I'm looking for that hidden gem bakery to order a cake for a birthday. Ive tried in the past Ambrosia, Les Ami, Gambinos, Whole Foods, and a few others. Just looking for something different with a good, moist and fresh cake. What you got?

Nothing Bundt Cakes makes a good cake, and they've got little cakes you can pick up there if you want to taste flavors.

Baum's is our go-to.
If you wanna get decadent, try Kevin's Bakin' out of Olive or Twist. The guy makes these great Doberge cakes that are unique. He made a chocolate and peanut butter Doberge for my birthday a few years ago, he did a German chocolate Doberge for a party we threw last fall. I don't know how far in advance you have to order them -- the guy cooks these things on the side.

Les Amis Bake Shoppe on Coursey, near Sherwood. The owner Stephanie is the greatest and makes incredible cakes and some really delicious macarons.
