How many hoppy beers have you tried?

Only a few, don't remember all of them, but Abita's Jockamo IPA, and New Belgium's Fat Tire, I was not a fan of at all. I don't mind most pale ales. I might start going for pale ales and transition into trying more IPA's.

I have really been enjoying this one as well.

I don't like a lot of Tin Roof's selections, but their Juke Joint IPA is not that bad either.

Not a good IPA at all.

An amber ale. Not really hoppy.

Start off with parish envie. You should be able to find it where you get your canebrake. It's a real solid local pale ale option.

Besides that, sweetwater 420 pale ale, sierra nevada pale ale, southern prohibition devil's harvest pale ale are some other options.

and New Belgium's Fat Tire,

I can't stand Brown beer or Ambers either…including NOLA brown Abita Amber Parish South Coast etc…just not for my palate…I would definitely give the hoppy beers a second chance

Anchor Steam
Brooklyn Lager
SN Pale Ale
Nola Brown
Parish Envie
Tin Roof Blonde

That would be a good intro build-you-own 6-pack that you could find at most local grocery stores.

I had sweetwater 420 for the first time weekend, thought it was good. I would get it again.

I'm going to recommend Anchor Steam as a bridging beer from Canebrake to other craft beers.

I'm with ya here, but you wont see love for any Anchor products on here, for the most part

Their porter was one of the first porters I tried -- I liked it. No idea if I still would.

I always thought the steam beer was interesting and pretty good, been a while since I had it though. The Liberty Ale is not that bad either.

Buy you a six pack of Abita Andygator and a six pack of Abita Strawberry. Pour one of each beers in a cup mixing them equally creating what Abita called its Strawator. Great beer!!!

If only we could get the BR allocation out of Thibodeaux.

Start with some pale ales like a SN and progress to Dale's PA (Oskar Blues). Or a really light citrus type IPA like Terrapin hi 5 or a Sweetwater ipa.

Nope. Once again, Crescent Crown shows us that they are a second rate distributor. The BR allocation accidentally got sent to Thibodeaux. Last Monday. Tell me, do you think enough time has passed to have had the mistake corrected?

Damn. You'd think that'd be plenty of time to get it back to BR and on the shelves.
