Lobsters shipped in summer?

Sent email to lobster dude Wick and others have promoted. Anyone bought any lately? Is this a good time to buy?

Now is fine. Another month and they start soft shell and hard shell is harder to get which drives the cost up.

Probably about 12-14 dollars a pound plus shipping. I've bought from that Lobsters New England. They do a good job.

I bought some last year on August 1st from the Lobstaman with no issues. Shamal, you might need to change your supplier. I got 36 live 1.5 lb lobsters shipped to the house for 300 total. Thats about 8 bucks a piece.

I bought 48 1.5# in December for $400, a few months later I inquired about 24 and he quoted me around $225. IMO, lobsters are good to buy year around and it's a bit higher in the summer months? Also bought from lobstaman and I have no complaints, will probably order 48 more this Christmas coming.

You can' freeze them raw, any leftovers have to be cooked. I like them grilled better than boiled, but there is a place for all ways of cooking...
