Stopped there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, I say that since the building is small and unassuming. The best part was a fresh wasabi they served with the sushi. I'd never had it like that before...looked like this.

It was damn good on the hamachi.

Anyway, just giving those who travel I-12 a heads up.

Always been a fan of LT. Ichiban is the favorite for me though.

That's because what you eat in most places is dyed horseradish. Not Wasabi.

I agree that the real stuff is awesome.

I've been there and it's pretty solid. Megumi is my go to and I've had that fresh wasabi as well which is killer. I've recently been turned on to Kazoku off 59 which is now my second favorite in the area

Thanks for the heads up about the other places, always trying to find something off I12 to eat. We had a soccer tournament in Hammond so we made the trek repeatedly. We just went off reviews and proximity and I thought LT was damn good. I eat sushi all of the time and it's usually pretty crappy. I guess I'm just accustomed to a lower quality product...doesn't stop me though, mystery fish it is.

It definitely is. But if you're someone who really enjoys sushi and want to take it to another level, those places will get you there.
Honestly my favorite thing to do is to ask the chef to just make up a few rolls. They love doing that and I've had some of the best sushi I've ever had doing that.

LT is good. It's just tiny.

Not kidding about this, but the guy in Rouses puts out quality stuff in Mandeville. You can order whatever you want, grab your other groceries, and he knocks it out.
Good stuff.
