El Tapatio is pretty damn good Mecican food. I enjoyed my meal there.

cajun cafe has an affordable , full serving plate lunches .. pork roast, baked chicken, fried pork chops .... 329 price street

agave tamale on Alamo street has very good tamales , bought 2 doz last week to bring home to Laffy


others have mentioned restaurants for dinner meals

Hackett's on HWY 14 for the best plate lunch in town. Good boudin too, but I prefer Sonnier's or Homsi's.
