I hope you post pics of the changes you've made. Icelandic blue looks pretty. We used Benjamin Moore Glass Slipper in the kitchen and laundry room. Love it.

Just for you

Now I'll need to scrounge up some pics of the master bed and bath where I changed the colors

Thanks for posting those. You really have some beautiful crown molding. Great color choice! However, my bias for blue might be showing. I think it makes the whole place look inviting.

Here is a glimpse of Benjamin Moore Glass Slipper.

Fantasy Brown quartzite (not quartz). It has a leathered (textured) finish. In person, it is captivating. There are sparkly bits!

I wonder what the the fleur-de-lis would look like; in front of the inside of the door? Very nice, just wondering...

No, picture it in the four squares in front of the door. I may like it centered in the middle of the foyer, better, I dunno, it's a woman thing, we know how to decorate, ya know...

ETA; if it is moved IN FRONT OF DOOR, it may look like a permanent rug. So I like it where it is, know what I mean, Vern?

So these are the types of houses where sound systems are put in the ceilings and walls so no one has to see them? 'Fin, you have to break the mold and get something that will JAM.

Seriously? I hope it at least sounds decent. I can't even imagine how music sounds through all of those horns. I hope you play it on mono to avoid some shitty simulated surround artifacts. You really can jam Led Zeppelin through that with decent results?

Man I have to be honest with you when I say a sound system is the last thing I'm worried about in my house. I don't even think there's a radio in the current one

I will have a badass outdoor kitchen/patio

Ouch. I lived without one for a few years after Katrina...when my son was small. I bought the most solid doors I could find so I could crank it up when I got one. I get TURN IT DOWN texts now from the wife.

I think it would look off if it weren't centered in the foyer the way it is now. Look at the number of tiles on all four sides. It looks dead center to me.

We didn't do any kind of wiring for sound. I am quite happy with using a case with speakers in it for my iPad.
