If we are going to include Great Raft might as well include So Pro, at least most can buy their stuff.

I remember all of us voting in that. Good times. I was a big ICS supporter back then. Wouldn't make the top 5 now.

Guess I can exclude Heady Topper and Pliny the Elder from my best beer brewed in the US since I can't get it here.

Why doesn't everyone post their top 16 beers and then the results will be put in a spreadsheet to come up with the top 16. I'll even nominate myself to put it in a spreadsheet.

Maybe this is what we are already doing but it seems like we are just voting for the top 16 beers which may leave some off the list that we can't vote on.

That might work but we need them in order (to have top 16 in order of 1-16 not just a big top 16 INPO). Like a points system.

Everyone puts their top 16 in order

Ranks
1-2= 5 points
3-4= 4 points
5-8= 3 points
9-12= 2 points
13-16= 1 point

Add up points after all the votes.

Sounds like a good method

I like your idea. I'm going to combine it with the points system.

Tomorrow I'll set it up.

That should work. I was thinking of taking an average of all the rankings. Both methods should work though. I can use mine to check it.

If we included Mississippi, they would beat us in the SIPA, porter category in my opinion. Maybe even the black IPA category.

damn...this is proving to be difficult than I thought to name 16 beers...

1) All My Tomorrows
2) Grace and Grit
3) GITM
4) Grand Reserve
5) Abita Macchiato
6) GR Make Believer IPA
7) Parade Ground Porter
8) Commotion
9) Envie
10) NOLA Flambeau Red
11) Southcoast
12) Canebrake
13) Juke Joint
14) Hopitoulas
15) NOLA blonde
16) Southern Drawl (just cuz)

I haven't had the chance to try most of the Abita Selects, the NOLA brewery releases, most of Bayou Teches new releases, Chafunkta, or Old Rail...

And Wise bitches about GR not being in NOLA

I did my top 25. Did a few more just in case any of these didn't qualify. The SIPA I tried at Parish's tap room would make my top 10 but I'm not certain if they made it again. We need a good local SIPA that is readily available here.

I also tend to go for darker beers over IPA's so they dominate my list for the most part.

I also have only tried one Great Raft brew and it was the lager. Need to try their good stuff.

1 Parish Grand Reserve
2 Nola Girl Stout Cookie
3 Nola Irish Channel Stout
4 Nola Horchata Milk Stout
5 Parish Ghost in the Machine
6 Parish Farmhouse IPA
7 Parish Dr. Hoptagon
8 Tin Roof Parade Ground Porter
9 Parish Envie
10 Nola Arabella Sour Ale
11 Nola Breakfast Brown
12 Abita Macchiato Milk Stout
13 Bayou Teche Loup Garou
14 Bayou Teche Biere Joi
15 40 Arpent Milk Stout
16 Nola Rebirth Pale Ale
17 Nola Brown
18 Nola Hurricane Saison
19 Nola 7th St Wheat
20 Nola Flambeau Red
21 Parish Canebrake
22 Nola Hopitoulas IPA
23 Tin Roof Juke Joint IPA
24 Abita Grapefruit IPA
25 Parish Southcoast Amber
