Any beer I should be on the look out for while I'm here? Also any craft beer bars around?

They have a Key West Brewery, not sure where or if they are on the island though.

Only beer I ever had from them wasn't that good

I think I drank their pale ale at the airport. Nothing to write home about.

There are 3 breweries on key West: Kellys, bone island, and waterfront. Kellys and bone island are small tiny places. Waterfront is a brand new massive facility that is really corporate funded. The beers at all are pretty good, nothing world changing. Waterfront and Kellys are both brewpubs with lots of food options. Didn't eat at waterfront but have eaten at Kellys, good food.

There are two breweries up in the upper keys if you are headed there. Islamorada and he Florida Keys brewing company. Both near mile marker 82. Florida Keys is worth a visit. Islamorada...Meh.

Lots of shitty beer in the area though.

Fun fact: Kelly's is owned by Kelly McGillis of Top Gun game. It's been in operation for over 20 years so she must be doing something right.

The Porch. Great place in an old doctor's house right off of Duval. Has a really cool, kind of New Orleans-y vibe and a good bit of unique offerings.

I'll second the Porch. Best crafty bar I was able to find.

Well shite. I was going to tell you how their World of Beer is much better than the ones here simply because of distribution.. but apparently it closed within the past year?
