Anybody been? Going to be there in a few weeks and looking for dinner somewhere downtown one night. Good Zagat and Yelp ratings.

Worth the $$?

It's very good. Can't say it is the best steakhouse I have ever eaten at, however the atmosphere, scenery and service, along with food make it a memorable experience.

Get the House Made Bacon With Maple Cotton Candy & Peppercorns as an appetizer.

If you're open to suggestions and want another place to eat at (that won't break the bank), check out Lockeland Table | Community Kitchen & Bar.

Very good. Get the ribeye with bone marrow butter. Get the lobster popcorn as well.

My wife and I go to Nashville every Christmas for my work Christmas party. This past year we stayed downtown and had brunch at Southern Steak And Oyster. It was a very good meal. We also ate dinner at Skull's Rainbow Room and The Palm, both were pretty good. Skull's has a lot of history.

We also did the Country Music Hall of fame this year which was ok, but part of the package of that was touring Studio B. I had no idea the significance of that recording room till we took the tour, but it was incredible and well worth it...

I think we're going to do Southern Steak for lunch before Kayne or brunch the next day. Looked at The Palm but since we're only going to be downtown one night, i think Kayne gets it.

We're staying at the Hilton right there by the Hall of Fame so I imagine we'll end up there

may i recommend stopping at the flying saucer for a beer or 2 before dinner?

you'll be walking up demonbreun (right past where i work) and flying saucer is essentially a block from kayne.

also take a few moments to walk around the gulch (all in the same area) although your wife might get a little jealous because its around there especially in the evening.

Southern is only a couple of minutes away. Great place to grab brunch.

Same here. OMNI, located on the corner, is also a very nice hotel.

They serve a good breakfast at Kitchen Notes, located inside the hotel.
