Just had Shaya for lunch

Jerusalem Mixed Grill w/ fries. Chick hearts, livers, sweetbreads, and scallions inside house pita with fries $12. This may replace my bahn mi addiction for a while. Freaking awesome in every way.
The pita was chewy and held up to the juicy meats. House fries were addicting and Harissa mayo was a great sauce for dipping. Interior was lovely for lunch and back courtyard was full. Can't wait to go for dinner.

I ordered it with the cabbage on Saturday. Cabbage was awesome, Id have a hard time not ordering it again but those fries do look good.

Describe the cabbage please. I do love cabbage but I'm a sucker for house fries

Pickled shredded cabbage. Kind of like what you get at an authentic Mexican joint with an order of pupusas. There is a pic in the Shaya pic thread.
