its good stuff...YES!!! Now we need to get them Food Network guys to acknowledge Louisiana style BBQ sauce. Its always Texas/Carolina/Tennessee/Kansas City with those guys.

+1 on the hamburgers by the way Also, try it on hot dogs if you don't have chili. You may not go back to the chili. Also killer on garlic bread with the BBQ.

I mean...what exactly is Louisiana style BBQ sauce? BBQ sauce with cayenne/Tony's?

Dude! You DID see what this thread is about? Right? Jack Miller's/Pig Stand and other similar sauces are Louisiana style BBQ sauce. Tobasco and Cajun Blast also make it. Seems like I recall a brand called Tee Bays from some years back. Haven't seem that one in a while.

Yeah, I got that...but what exactly makes Louisiana style BBQ sauce stand out from the rest? Just because it says Louisiana on it doesn't mean a thing to me, as Louisiana isn't known for good Q. Just curious.

Well, OK now I understand your question. Serious question...have you ever had the kind of sauce being discussed here? Not being argumentative. I really don't know about your personal experiences in this area. This sauce is completely different from all the other styles mentioned. You cannot mistake Jack Miller's/Pig Stand for say K.C. Masterpiece or other national brands. It is used differently. You make a basting sauce from it by pouring cooking oil...say vegatable oil in a pot already containing JM's...let that heat, then pour off the oil and use that to baste your meat while Qing. Then put the heated sauce on the table to put on the meat and/or your garlic bread. Or heat the sauce, cook your burgers or dogs, then put the burgers/dogs, in the pot of sauce before going to the bun. It TASTES good. Don't know what else to say other that. Try it. Betcha like it. Again unlike any of the national brands out ot KC, or Texas, or Tenn. And Better...to me. Of coarse its what I grew up on.

And the fact that Louisiansa is not KNOWN for good Q does not mean Louisiana Q isn't good...just not acknowledged.
