looks good. I think the bread may be a little over toasted though. Needs to be soft on inside still

Yeah. It's pretty nasty. It's clean but just old and beat up. That and the fridge were in terrible shape when I bought this house last year. In fact, I don't really like the oven - it takes forever to heat up..Hopefully Santa brings me a new one

I got lazy and just used a red sauce out of a jar tonight ..

I'll buy that one off you when he does, or I'll pay to have the new one installed for the old one.

Seriously.

..That's a common retort from people who don't use their stoves anyway. You got use on yours, the way the letters have worn off on the front. Common issue with paint letters on stainless.

Is it because they don't get to temp quick enough, or because people just feel like it should warm up faster?

I mean it takes like an hour to get it to 400 degrees ... In fact I'm not even sure if I've ever seen the light go off that indicates it has reached the desired temp. Usually I just say screw it and throw the dish in there

I've never heard that complaint, a Viking oven has a bigger burner surface area that most, quite possible he only has a 5/8's gas line instead of the 3/4" you use with commercial gas ovens. I've never heard that complaint from a viking.

somethings wrong. Is the Oven Gas, or is that a dual fuel model? (electric oven) if it's dual fuel you have either a bad controller for the oven or a failing bake element. You should reach 400* in that oven in less than ten minutes.

If your handy I got a line on Viking parts, like I get the spark modules for Vikings for $45. Wholesale locally is $95 and retail is $150.

It's a gas oven and I'm not handy at all ...

I am impressed that I even know that it's gas
