DiGiulios is more of an old school Italian place. Its small, pretty loud, filled with the locals, and great food. They dont take reservations so odds are there will be a wait by 7pm. Can always grab a glass of wine and sit at the bar, if they have room. Their waitresses are also usually very good looking. The entire staff is very sociable and makes you feel like family. Theyve had the same people there for awhile.

Gino's is more of a quiet dinner place. They take reservations, have a nicer bar area with a piano player usually, and have equal to better food. It doesnt have the neighborhood feel like DiGiulios. Its more of a white table cloth and dont be too loud restaurant. Thats not a bad thing at all imo. On average, the portion sizes at Gino's are smaller.

Only other place I that people would suggest would be Nino's.

How does Ruffino's compare to digiulio's and Gino's? I haven't been to either.

The food has been more miss than hit the last few times I have gone.

I think the bar is a great area though. Good wine and liquor list and the apps have all been very good.

Doesnt help either that Ruffinos is 20 minutes away compared to less than 5 minutes for the other 2.

I haven't been to digiulios in a couple of years, but I enjoyed it. Haven't been to Gino's yet.

I love Ninos.

Gino's is the more old school of the two.

If driving for an hour is an option, head to metairie and have the 5 course for $40 bucks or so at Impostatos.

Nice place, very cozy. Excellent service and food.
Easily one of the best places I've ever been.
Would be my last meal for sure, no questions asked.

Crab fingers or Shrimp Augratin
Fresh Bread
Amazing parm ving over romaine hearts salad
2 pastas, tossed in front of you. Red / White
I always get the filet, pecan smoked, with a jumbo lump and shrimp lemon butter sauce on side (marcello)- But you can choose from any entree, some of the best veal parm you'll ever eat
Then one of 13 housemade desserts (blueberry banana creme pie is amazing)

Excellent wine selection.

You'll thank me forever and ever... lol

We're partial to DiGuilio's. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. Pinetta's is close behind. We've never been to Gino's and I suggest it a lot. It probably doesn't help that it's 15 minutes from our house and DiGuilio's/Pinetta's is 5.
