Was the problem in buying the pig, the size of the pig or the availability o the pigs in general?

I asked the lady how big my pig was and she told me she could call me back with the exact weight as they were about to go out back and kill it.

So Rouchers for sure an possibly Chris' specialty meats? I've always wanted to do one and thought about doing it for a game this year.

The others usually have them as well. I suggest calling a couple weeks out. This was kind of last minute.

Oh yeah definitely going to plan this out in advance. Feel like this is something you have to do at least once

Rouchers is one of the few places that has them fresh/unfrozen. Some of the other suppliers will get you a frozen pig and you have to thaw it out. They don't thaw quickly.

There are a few local farmers that sell fresh pig too. A couple of them I've met at the farmer's market downtown on Saturday's.
