I've been once since the TV show aired, I thought it was improved as far as atmosphere, and ordered a pizza with a topping removed no problem. It was as good as always, but I still don't find myself going there too often.

I love his traditional pizza. Growing up in New York, it tastes very much like the pizza I had back in the 70's and 80's. In fact the very first pizza place in the U.S. was Lombardi's in New York City which opened in the early 1900's and is still there. If you look at their website, they have just one traditional pizza and one white pizza. They do offer toppings but for $4. or $5. each. I would think at that price most people would not get anything additional put on. I'm do hope Mama Della's stays open in spite of an owner who is a little gruff.
