I sent out a blast via neworleansrestaurants.com, with my pricing/event dates/details... Actually got some decent feed back.
I at least found 2 places I can afford... Ralph and Kacoo's and Gordon Biersch.
Another place I liked and could afford, but not in the quarter was Andrea's by Lakeside.

Could have been. I've only seen that show once. Maybe they straightened up or maybe that's why the place is reasonable.

I did try Deanie's they were a bit high. I love that place though... stuffed flounder is so good!

They have cleaned up since then you know....
I know some people who have gone post-Gordon (and having had seen the show) multiple times and they liked it.

I just looked at muriel's website and they have a Fixed price menu for $35/person. That would be a little over $42/person after tax and 20% tip. That may be outdated but it's worth a shot. And the food is great.
