Admittedly, I'm a beer snob. They aren't many beers I don't like. Recently, I've tried to branch out. I now enjoy bourbon either straight or with water. I also enjoy the specialty bourbon drinks at finer dining places like a Manhattan, Old Fashion, or something they've concocted.

Anyway, my wife comes home with some bourbon and a bottle of gin for Thanksgiving. Her dad likes gin. On the rocks or with some water, I don't like it very much. Currently, I'm trying a martini with a little vermouth and some lemon peel and rosemary. It's a little better. Any other ideas?

Martini, Tonic, 7Up, Grapefruit, or Orange Juice. All are good.

Gin is disgusting. It's the dirty, homeless person of the spirit community.

Ironically, I'm sipping on a cocktail of Bombay Far East, Salerno, El Guapo Cucumber Bitters with Lavender, Orange Flower Water, & sliced Cucumber.

Wife lady made it.
I cook, she mixes...

We currently have 14 Gins in our inventory. I turned her on to Gin when we met, now she thinks she invented the stuff!

People down here seem to like Gin Fizzes, but not a gin fan. Btw, it's Old Fashioned.

Shake beefeater cold and pour it on the rocks with either a couple of blue cheese stuffed olives OR a line wedge.

You don't need any of that ghey stuff if you drink decent gin.

Stir your gin with ice while staring at a bottle of vermouth. Strain into a chilled Collins glass.

Finish it before your hands heat it.

You're welcome.

dude trust me on this... I'm a beer snob now

get some Hendrix gin with tonic and a lime if you prefer a lime

I always loved grey goose and Bombay too but go with Hendrix first.

Must have Schweppes tonic though

I love gin. Tanqueray is my favorite. I love a gin and tonic with a lime wedge. It's a lot less filling than beer and I like the buzz.

Buy a decent vermouth to go with the gin and your martinis will magically improve. That anti-vermouth bullshite stems from cheap and old vermouth (it degrades quickly with exposure to oxygen).

Gin tastes like pennies.

Frick gin.

Show me the way to the next whiskey bar.

Oh don't ask why.
