I'll be at Joint Base Lewis-McChord next week and I'm hoping some of y'all have some recommendations on places to eat/drink while I'm there. I'm open to any type of suggestions, so the more recs, the better. Good place to eat, good place to grab a drink, good place to buy whiskey/beer, or even just some place that I should visit. Thanks in advance!

China Town in Seattle has excellent options.

Can't remember names for the life of me, so I guess I am no good for you.

Went through basic at Ft Lewis well about 45 years ago.

Was in Seattle last week. For 5 star service and food try to get in Canlis, worth it for the view alone. For sushi go to Nishino, they fly in fresh fish from Tokyo daily. There's a cool little Speak Easy called Needle and Thread. I really enjoyed The Rock Box for Japanese Karaoke. For a really big and tasty brunch try Portage Bay Cafe. Other that those suggestions there are 500 different types of Coffee joints, not including the 10,000 Starbucks locations. The only other thing is don't judge service to hard on some places. The city recently passed a $15 an hour mininum wage and the restaurants are panicking and making cuts left and right, especially to servers. Have Fun!

Thanks for the info! And I should have used the search function. But I did get some different responses.

The search function would have only revealed the thread I started. Usually they have a couple of threads for a city, this was the exception.

Report back on what you do, have no clue what we will find bext month.

If you're in the downtown Seattle area I'd recommend the Pink Door for some cocktails

You better stay home, according to the OT, a 9.0 earthquake is imminent in the Pacific Northwest.
