I know there is a whiskey thread but it's got a shite ton of pages... I really enjoyed it. I couldn't believe how smooth it was for 127 proof. Drank it with a splash of water and drank a lot of it. What say you?

You don't have to read the entire bourbon thread to be able to post in it...

I like it. But the label will not hold up to the pepper sauce making process. Neither will Makers..

Got mud in your eyes Chief? The label comes off when you put boiling vinegar in it. Happen to me last year...

Well if you ever start, use bottles other than Makers or Booker's. They labels will come off. And cork tops like Blanton's will push up if you don't keep them weighted down.

is there a reason you wanted the labels to stay on?

Well yea. I like the way it looks. A Booker's bottle with no label looks like just a bottle. Could be Old Crow or some shite as far as anybody else knows. But an intact label proclaiming it to be Bookers, well, that shows the world I have class. Or did at one point when I was drinking the Bookers anyway.

Nice. I unfortunatly have no idea how the Pappy labels hold up. These bottles, while not overly impressive in their former lives, make excellent pepper sauce bottles. Especially the Crown. Wide mouth and an easy to open top. The problem is having to hold your nose when you break into the trashy bastards house who keeps it in stock.

That's pretty damn cool....

I'd imagine the Pappy labels would come right off, they're paper

Bookers is really good, my favorite product of Jim Beam's.

You have to watch yourself when drinking it though, it will kick your arse .

This. Whenever I'm drinking Makers, 46, Knob Creek, etc I can usually have 2-3 before I feel much of anything. More of relaxing than getting a buzz. With bookers, usually halfway through glass #2 it hits you all at once.

And I rarely mix it with anything. Even water. Just a couple of ice cubes and sip on it. I may give it a splash of coke in the 3rd drink just to slow down and pace myself.
