Matcha is a form of green tea that’s been enjoyed in China and Japan for hundreds of years. The leaves are made into a powder that’s far stronger than regular tea.

Though it’s made from the same leaf, some people say matcha is sweeter and creamier than regular green tea. You may also notice a “grassiness” to the smell and taste.

When I drink it, it both relaxes me and gives me energy without any caffeine crash. It’s probably the most helpful and healthy drug cocktail I’ve ever had.

I’ve just been doing matcha lattes. It’s a beautiful drink. Can’t believe no one has ever recommended it to me before, so just thought I’d pass it along.

I'll be doing a Chinese tea tasting this week down in Austin. The owner is on a bourbon YouTube show I watch. They have him on there to get a different perspective on flavors . The bourbon guys went to his shop for a tasting and said although they weren't drunk or high, there was some definite euphoria

Do you even Ceremonial bro?

Also, if you're doing Matcha lattes, you should be using less than Ceremonial grade. Kind of like you'd use every-day tequila, whiskey, etc. for mixed drinks, but reserve the good stuff for straight up.

Matcha Tea is excellent for you, one of the reasons you feel a euphoria is because of the infusion of oxygen into your cells. Matcha tea leaves are grown in the shade and harvested after 6 months, the leaves retain their chlorophyll. True matcha tea is stone ground to retain all the benefits of the leaf, where they are lost during a machine process. I discovered it 12 years ago, and drank it very day to address a health issue, it worked for me. It has been shown to be beneficial in fighting illnesses.

I'll have to give it a shot. Got really into tea about a year ago. And not the boiled to death Lipton, loaded with cups of sugar, syrup our grandmothers used to make and call sweet tea. I started getting green tea bags and making a cup in the afternoons. Then branched out into Earl Grey and other black teas and blends. I'm almost to the point I'd rather have tea first thing than my usual cup of coffee.

Just some frothed milk.

I would have never even considered putting milk in tea before but I really like this drink.

I've been wanting to get some straight matcha for a while. Costco sells some sencha matcha tea that's really good though. I really like teas.

After my boss visited Argentina and brought me back some yerba mate I drank that for a while. It's pretty good stuff if you've never tried it
