Never cooked a pig before. Pig is small enough to fit on a pit or in an oven. Which way is best to prepare and cook it. Oh it's a wild pig BTW. Buddy at work waged jihad on them this weekend and I got a half. TIA.

Is it skinned or is it still hairy? If skinned, I wrap in bacon then slow cook it

Yes it is skinned. It's not very big (5-8 #) which is why I thought I could do it in the oven. How long and at what temp

You got a football. Those things are awesome. Brine it and/or inject it. Rub, wrap in bacon and smoke @ 225 till the hams get 165 deg. Spritz with apple cider vinegar every time you open the lid. Hard to beat and easy to do if you watch your thermometer.

That's going to be the best pork you've ever eaten.
