i don't like hendricks because of the cucumber (can't stand the stuff) ... citadelle when i can get it (frick alabama's "conservative" government abc stores), but my absolute favorite for gin/tonic is ransom's old tom gin ... not a typical gin at all ...

I generally go with Citadelle or Prairie. Both are very affordable and taste great.

I don't drink it a lot, but I make a gin and tonic or Negroni now and then.

Once had some Hendricks, Bombay Sapphire, and cheap-arse Seagram's on hand. Set up shots for sipping/tasting.

It was remarkable how different they tasted. And you could really make a case for each, including Seagram's, depending on what you preferred.

Nolet's Silver is my go to gin. Can be hit or miss on whether a bar has it though.

I like Bluecoat. It mixes well with a little seltzer and some lime juice. Also good straight on the rocks.

If you're ever in Charleston, SC, a great local gin called Hat Trick would be right up your alley. Very nice and floral. It's my go to.

Came here to suggest Citadelle. It's pretty smooth and is made with something like twenty-some aromatics. It has a lot of complexity to its flavor.

I'm usually a Bombay Saphire kinda guy. But when I'm not, I go to this:

Made from the same base spirit as our Oryza®® Vodka, our Louisiana-inspired gin is hand crafted in small batches using 11 botanicals: Juniper, Satsuma, Lavender, Oris Root, Cantaloupe, Coriander, Pink Peppercorn, Angelica Root, Paradise Seed, Orange Peel, and Lemon Peel.

Been a long time since I drank any Gin. There was a time two or three of us got on a "Salty Dog" kick. Seagrams "bumpy face" and pink grapefruit ruled.
