Since you're near Scott go to Don's / Billy's / Early's Grocery / and Best Stop (get 1 lb at each place and judge for yourself, you'll get 10 pages of arguments about which each person prefers). On way to N.I. stop at Billeaud's Grocery in Broussard ( a few blocks off of HWY 90) and grab you another pound. If you can make another stop (you won't be disappointed) go to NuNu's in Youngsville ! There you have it, you've made the boudin rounds and can't go wrong. You'll have a story to tell everyone and you can report back to us your favorite
This sounds like a plan. My son likes to do things like that. He's the one that would like to tell the story of how made the boudin rounds. He's a character. I'll definately report back on what I liked or didn't like about each place. I'm still looking for a good restaurant to eat at. Usually when we go out of town like this, I try to find the best local food available. I'm really not a big fan of going to a chain restaurant although I'm not totally opposed to it. Can anyone give me some more ideas of good places that the locals eat at? We're not picky so anything from seafood to messican will work as long as it's good.

Staying in New Iberia right?
Cafe Des Amis? I'm not too familiar with Da Berry.
As for Lafayette, my suggestions are:
Social
Ruffino's
Jolie's
Pamplona
La Pagua
Taco Sisters
Johnson's Bouconaire
St Street Inn
Bread and Circus
Shade Tree Cafe
Morvant's (Youngsville)
Twins Bakery
Pizza Village, Deano's, JJ's Pizza (in Broussard)
^^ Pizza places. I don't really care for the style, but most people consider them the best around
And I'm sure there are others I like. But if I keep thinking I'm only going to get more hungry.
Also some of those places are on the pricier side. I was just rambling on.

Yes, we're staying in New Iberia. A few people have mentioned Johnson's and I looked at there menu. It looks really good. If we're in the mood for BBQ, I will definately try them. On the other hand, I've been having a craving for crawfish. I apreciate the list. It will definately give us some options. Thanks again.

TONS of crawfish places around these parts. My go to in Lafayette is Crawfish Time on Verrot. A ton of people love Cajun Claws in Abbeville.

For seafood Fezzo's is hard to beat. Old Tyme Grocery or Judice Inn on Saturday (closed on Sundays).
