In town for work to help my Baton Rouge company get back up and running. I don't really have the attire to go to August, Herbsaint, Commanders etc but I'd love comparable food. Tell me about places like coquette, toup's, patois, la petite, shaya, and compare lapin. All I have are khakis and a polo so not looking for anything too overly dressy. Thanks a lot for the input and sorry for all that some of you have been through lately.

I've been to peche a few times already. Cochon too, just looking for something new.

I've been to toups for lunch and it was good, if you're a top chef geek you'll def see him in there, he was walking around talking to people when we went.
La petite is awesome, would highly recommend. Everything everyone at our table had was fantastic.
Haven't been to shaya yet but someone's dining opinion I respect told me he had the best meal he's ever had in New Orleans there.
I will say though outside or a few places shorts and a polo is perfectly fine for dinner attire in the middle of the summer.
As the poster above me suggested Peche is very good and super casual, same with Cochon.
Hope you find some great food wherever you end up

I went to Shaya and la Petite Grocery on the last 2 Friday's. Both are very good relaxed atmosphere's.
But, Shaya was hands down better.
