Not staying for the Rodeo, going check out the furniture for outdoor patio, where is a good place to eat around there-we don't plan on eating on the grounds. Any good restaurants in the area? TIA

Luanda? There´s a great place on the main street owned by a horrible looking but cool Portuguese guy.

Food is Angolan, not Portuguese.

If you stop by Angola, try the strawberry jelly.

Sorry to hear about it, how long you going to be in for? You just eat at the mess hall, but don't expect a lot of options, watch your 6

Haven't been in many years, but I don't recall any restaurants within a reasonable distance. Maybe pack a lunch.

Francis Smokehouse is the correct answer. Last time I was driving back from Angola, I had a fried oyster poboy that vastly exceeded my expectations.

I like Francis but if in Angola I would have gone to the golf course club house and had a burger. Very good, big and I think two bucks.
