Any great places that are very conducive to celiac/gluten-free/wheat allergies? Looking for a gift card as one of my parents Christmas presents, and my Mom has severe allergies to wheat. Thanks in advance everyone!

Casamento's for gluten free fried seafood. Just ask for no bread on the bottom of the plate if you get a platter. They also have GF beer.

Theo's for GF pizza.

Commanders, Mr. B's Bistro (pretty much all of the Brennan places) have all been accommodating.

Red Gravy for pasta.

All in all N.O. has been one of the easier places to eat out with my GF S.O. If you are judicious in your menu choices and not selecting the bread with bread platter, generally the servers can steer you appropriately.

Eat some fricking meat and drink some whiskey. It's not that difficult

La Petite always has a lot of options, including soups sometimes. Clancy's has a lot of options--just talk to your waiter. Most of the good places around town can accommodate you if you just ask.

A few more...

For breakfast/brunch/lunch...

Bearcat Cafe has quite a few options

Horns in the Marigny for GF waffles

Dinner

Ye Olde College Inn is very accommodating and has a good number of options.

Delmonico's and Doris Metropolitan are also easy.

Arabella's for pasta.

Shake Sugary for pastries.

Hope this helps.
