Younger. I went to high school with him. To be fair, he did offer to pay me for it. But I've been planning on doing this for about a week and he's trying to jump in at the last second

That's a list of restaurants, some good, but the majority aren't near the caliber of or suitable alternatives to Don's, not to mention many aren't open on Sunday for lunch for a party of four, or serve beer and wine, which is what the OP is looking for. Taco Sisters, Agave, Blue Dog, Pop's Poboys, Olde Tyme, even Bread and Circus, Rock n Sake and Johnson's (where there isn't even a dining room)? No. Just no. And if anybody questions why Cochon didn't make it in Lafayette, this list provides all the explanation you need

Blue Dog and Bread and Circus Sunday Brunch>>>>>>>>>>Don's.
Also Rock n Sake>>>>>Don's and it is open on Sundays so if the OP is in the mood for sushi he should go there.

That's hysterical.. I guess if you like eating unrecognizable bone and cartilage pieces in a filthy, cramped dive out of Styrofoam, then yes.

Pour in River ranch has a pretty good Sunday brunch. Just gotta avoid the skinny jean/man buns at the coffee shop up the street with their hippy girlfriends.

Give me a Sunday lunch in Lafayette by Martini

Somewhere a four top can sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch with a beer or wine.

The Saint Street Inn

Their brunch is fantastic.
