Yes, it's good. Below are some suggestions.

Souffle potatoes
Shrimp remoulade
Oysters rock
Crabmeat Maison
Fried eggplant

Fish either amandine or meuniere
Soft shell crab served the same as above if they have it
Stuffed eggplant
Crabmeat Yvonne

Caramel cup custard
Bread pudding

Yes, I like it.

I believe they are about (or having already done so) to change their Executive Chef.

Menu may be reworked very soon.

Highly recommend. And their $20 weekday lunch special is one of the best bargains around.

I've been three times, and the food has been horrid each time. I've never been to the original, but I have a very hard time believing this is the same food that made Galaroire's famous.

The drinks and atmosphere made Galatoires famous.

Agreed. I've been multiple times -- both at the old location -- and it was bad each time. Nowhere near what I've experienced at the original in N.O.

I haven't been in a while. The food was ok, but it was so loud in there. Is that still the case?

I ate once at the old location. The place definitely had issues. The new restaurant has been very good each time I've eaten there. I think it's still noisy, but not as noisy as it was when it first opened. They worked on some things since then as I recall.

I'd say it is somewhere between highly recommend and horrid.
