Is there a noticeable difference in the flavor of the spices if they're freshly ground? I'm wanting to find a spice house near LC to buy fresh ground spices for chilies and other dishes.
Where would the nearest spice house to Lake Charles be?
TIA

Buy a coffee grinder or spice grinder. They are cheap. And yes, fresh ground is much better.

That's a good idea. Where do you get your whole spices from?

Check out the Texas Coffee Company in Beaumont, TX. Also, Amazon usually has all you need.
