But it's not about being local, necessarily. It's an experience. The amount of product they stock is incredible. I haven't been to Maria's, and i'm sure it's good, but I don't know how it could touch Joe Patti's.

I completely agree. Call a day or two early and get a nice table outside on the water. I loved that place and will definitely go back next time I'm in Pensacola.
