This city is virtually devoid of good hole in wall dives .. Thank God for FDL .. May be one of the few places in BR that remotely competes with NOLA ..

I may get crucified, but I don't get the love for fleur de lis pizza. to me it tastes like pizza you can make with Pillsbury dough.

I'm with you. One of the few antique restaurants in BR. Their pizza is awesome too..nothing like an around the world, with anchovies

Matter of opinion .. I don't think it's wonderful food .. Just a place with a little character ..

I think Fleur de lis and pinettas are both New Orleans dive types.

Mediocre pizza with below average topping quality served in a dirty cave. I've been twice and hope never to go back.

First time was on purpose. Second time was conned as part of a group. I was convinced to give it a second chance. Never again

I admit I havent been there since my college days. I did like the place though, as you say for what it is.

Haven't eaten there in years. Maybe once since law school. But I loved the place.

And, I enjoy good pizza. I enjoy "gourmet" pizza if someone wants to use that term, whatever the hell that means. And I say that anyone who says that the Fleur's pizza "sucks" is full of shite and has their heads up their respective asses when it comes to the enjoyment of pizza (assuming it's still the same as it used to be).

My dad liked it, and I would take him there when he was alive. It's been several years since I've been there, but i always enjoyed the pizza. It's a unique little place.
