I went to the Houston, Memorial City location a few months ago based on the praise it gets here. I have to say I didn't think it was bad but it wasn't particularly good. It was maybe a 1/4# patty that was overcooked. Does that sound right? Either way, I think it's clear that I've got to give it another go.

No. Not normal. I found this deal several years ago in Nashville... A Flemings was attached to my hotel and I would stop n there for a drink. Seeing the happy hour menu, I tried the beef carpaccio and burger one night (cheap glasses of vino, too)... And thought it was awesome. That burger has been on my happy hour routine ever since. Ive had it in Nashville, Baton Rouge, Orlando & Scottsdale... All consistant. Thick, well seasoned, well cooked patty on a warm pretzel bun... Nice thick bacon. Good burger for a good price

When you butt dialed me on Wednesday, this is where I was . Me and the gf went, each had a drink and a burger. Bill was $35 after tip and tax. Its a steal for sure. I will say though, the burger did not live up to the hype some give it on this board. Its good and very hard to beat for $7, but best in the city? Idk about that. The one thing they did wrong that really aggravates me is the bun to burger ratio. You basically have to eat the inch ring of bun around the burger till it actually becomes a burger.

Th & F you need to show up right at 5 to guarantee a table.

I've gone before on a Th where I got there at 4:50ish and there were already several tables claimed.

Yes. They do this often. Normally all weekend during "patriotic" weekends.. 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Presidents Day, Flag Day, and Election Day.

Not sure why this weekend.
