Am I the only person here that knows It's really hard to F up a hamburger?

Fries make the difference.

I hate greasy arse soggy FFs.

In regards to places like this...I agree.

I disagree. But I will say I went to Mooyah within the first month of them opening. It was almost a carbon copy of Five Guys, but cost $1 more. I did enjoy my milkshake though.

I found the burgers to be similar...points to Mooyah bc they don't serve a greasy, messy Big Mac reminiscent burger. Also points to Mooyah bc the fries are kick arse...and also not greasy and soggy. Was kind of pricey, but it was a lot of food.

Average burger. I would like their fries to be crunchier. I do love the malt vinegar on the fries.

Idk why they put the burger in the bottom of the sack and dump a whole basket of fries on top of it. Like ppl want to stick their hand down through a bunch of greasy fries to get to the burger.

No it isn't. My wife and I can eat there for under $20. Their burger is better than anything you'll get at fast food places, so it warrants costing a few dollars more than the McDonalds and Burger Kings of the world.

I've never had that happen. May have just been a dumb worker at the location you went to. That would tick me off though.

i agree, but If five guys' burgers and fries weren't dipped in a vat of grease before they served them to you, theyd be pretty much the same as mooyah.

First time going to Five Guys today.

I call them Five Guys With Soggy Fries.

No chicken sandwich and their veggie sandwich is the pits.

If it weren't for the peanuts that place would be an absolute wash out.

Steak n Shake is much better.

Couple years ago we ate at Smash Burger in Alpharetta, GA. It was so good that we chatted with the owners for a while. Told them we were from NOLA, and they told us about the one opening in the city. Any time we go back to Alpharetta, it's the first place we hit (along with Thai Squared). Heard that Five Guys is not as good as advertised though.

I've only been to one location and I've only been there 4-5 times and they've dumped the fries on the burger every time. I assumed it's their sop. Is it not?

My burgers are always on top or on side of the fries. It would definitely be an issue for me though, so I understand you not liking that.

I wouldn't go out of my way to get 5 Guys, but it's nice when on road trips or just somewhere else to get a decent burger that isn't BK or McD.

I mean I guess if you get a junior plain hamburger and share fries with a water or something.

A "regular" cheeseburger, fries and a drink is around $12-13 for one person. Or at least it was the last time I was there

Take off the junk on top and you have Whataburger/Sonic quality meat/taste. It's no better than they are and costs about $1.50 more. All I heard about were the fries, they were too soggy and had a bitter aftertaste. Wendy's / MCD / Krystal have better fries.

Nope, regular bacon cheeseburger for me, small cheeseburger for the wife, regular fries, large drink.

The exaggeration on 5 Guys price on this board is absurd.
