Do any of you that consistently post on this board have any interest/passion for wine? Have any friends in that category?

A friend and I have had many conversations about this as of late. We are both very much into wine. The thing we are trying to figure out is, is it the approach wine places, ie Wine Loft, the Loft, are taking in trying to present wine to people in BR. Or, is it just the culture of BR. I work in the beverage sales industry, and find that there are quite a bit of knowledgable people in BR about wine. I find there are a lot of people out there who want to learn more about it as well. We kind of came to the conclusion that if wine were approached in a way that wasn't so stuffy, and more of a casual, fun environment like it's supposed to be, people in BR would get more behind it.

Is there a way you would put me in touch with Jeff. The only way I see is through the web site. I would to get together with him and talk shop. Thanks a lot man. I also wanted to thank everyone who was positive on this thread. If I make my way back to br it will be know very early on via the food/drink board!!!

I have a Jacob Franklin 09 Chavez Leeds Petite Sirah I just opened and I'm letting it sit until 6:00 or so to air out. I've never had these although I've had his Elyse Black Seers Zinfandel which I really liked. This is one for the next trip.
