Everyone always says that it costs more to live here. The thing that most people don't realize is that you also make more money here than you would elsewhere. This may not be true for all occupations but for most it is true. ...

The taxes are high. Trust me I just got my w-2 and I got bent over on taxes. It's worth paying the higher taxes when you realize how amazingly beautiful the Bay Area is. In any given day I can go to the coast, Tahoe, Yosemite, and one of the greatest cities in the world. I'll pay a higher tax to liv...

Touché. My point isn't to put down Louisiana or the south. I constantly defend the south. I love the south. I wouldn't trade growing up in the south for anything. I'm just trying to understand why there is such a negative view of California by a lot of people on this board. ...

I agree with you. When I first moved out here I thought Californians were terrible. I was selling wine when I first moved out here. Out of fear for people thinking I didn't know what I was talking about I wouldn't tell people where I was from. I would say "I'm from the south." People that were from ...

What I said is true. I agree that there are insufferable people in California. My point is that there are insufferable people in Louisiana as well. Not liking a certain "style" of person is not grounds for passing judgement on an entire state. ...
