Yes we were.

Both IPAs were great. Nice balance on the double IPA. Strong citrus notes and nice malt backbone. Superb from start to finish.

The farmhouse IPA was like a really hopped up version of a Saison. Very drinkable. Kind of a hybrid style. I found it very refreshing.

I really enjoyed the Dubbel as well. Strong banana scents on the nose. I found the Belgian yeast to be nicely subdued on the taste.

Citrusy hop flavor with a bit of back end bitterness.

It is a good one. The malt balance will be there as it warms a little. I had never heard of this one before until I saw it at Cottage Hill and bought a few after checking Beer Advocate (actually ut checked it for me by text). I wish I would have bought more. This is a true session IPA IMO. Plenty going on, but still relatively light and crisp.

It affects everyone differently. I had the congestion, headache and body ache, but never had a fever. It lasted for 4-5 days. You must endeavor to persevere.

6BD is a Unibroue Maudite. This one and their La Fin du Monde are so good.

FBD: Shiner Farmhouse Ale. Rather meh, but I would destroy a six pack on a hot day.

Someone told me Jester King isn't far off (from entering Louisiana). Anyone want to confirm this as a legit possibility?

Agreed.

I LOVED Envie. I'm very excited to get to try anything they have in store. I picked up 2 pint glasses, a goblet, and a tshirt.

FBD: Envie
SBD: Canebrake
3BD: Shock Top back home

I didn't get to try Farmhouse or their dipa.. Makes me a bit sad, but since we were so late from being caught up in traffic on I10 that we couldn't stay long
