How is that Rogness? I used to buy a shite ton of stuff from Austin Homebrew and I always wondered how Forrest's beers tasted.

Beer Hall

Never been there. Shitty website (info wise), but it seems like Facebook has a ton of info. Looks interesting in the sense that you can also buy stuff to go. Might have to check it out. Beer list from a couple days ago includes LOTS of local stuff, but not necessarily anything that that isn't available elsewhere. Have a blast!

There are a lot of NB haters on this board but I'm not sure how anyone can argue that 1554 isn't a solid brew.

It was a first time try for me and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The front end was great, but it was a little thin on the back end. Still, a very enjoyable beer.

My wife is heading to prattville AL this weekend. Does anyone know of any good places to pick up beer in that area? TIA

My folks live in Prattville. Tell your wife to go to Filet & Vine in Montgomery. It's by far the best selection in that area. Found 4 Mexican Cakes there a while back long after they were released. The guy who stocks the shelves is cool as shite and knows his stuff. She'll come across lots of great beers. All manner of Founders, Terrapin, Good People, Bells, Sweetwater, all kinds of small Alabama breweries, etc.

Porters are maybe my second favorite style after IPAs, but I rarely find really good ones. I'll bolo for that one.

Yeah, that is a GREAT porter. I missed out on bottles, but had some recently when I was at the Brew Pub.
