it is a pretty small event that has been held the last 2-3 years. local home-brewers and some of the regional micro-/brewpub type places set up booths, and provide samples of their beer. this takes place inside an old building downtown, with live blues music out in a courtyard next to the building. this year, a local BBQ joint set up out on the street to sell food.
it was a fun, relaxing afternoon. and really cool to taste what some of the local home-brewers are doing. if you enjoy beer and music, it is a cool event.
i wouldn't make a special trip from out of town but a fun afternoon if you happen to be in the area.

Mrs. Vedder and I enjoyed it quite a bit. it was in mid-May. Yeah, I'm in Lubbock. Been here 4 years end of this month.

Lubbock doesn't really bother me. It wasn't on my radar as a place to move but I was offered an opportunity out here that has turned into a really successfully career building move. don't know if we'll be here long term but it has been fine for a few years. dirt cheap to live, nice people and we've enjoyed exploring this part of the country--great road trips around west texas, down to Austin/San Antonio area, New Mexico and Colorado.
