Indeed, Ro. No telling how old that goose island ipa is. My bet is its the first keg that ever hit this place.

Edit: bud heavy, shock top, BL, Stella, Miller, Lobo Negro, Goose Island IPA.
They have some local ish stuff, it's just lagers, ambers and a wheat though. Plus that lobo is a dunkel

F-SDD were cocktails at happy hour at Flemings. First time, and the whole experience is legit, including the burger. Wife dropped the kids off at the in-laws, just the two of us headed to the beach tomorrow

Sometimes in that case it's best to order liquor or do shots of whiskey with a BMC chaser.

This is the 5/11/15 batch, which I think is the second batch post-funk, and it is drinking well. Just a solid pale ale.

Yes, that is a good one and I agree that it is close to a DIPA. Fairhope Brewing has really stepped up their game.

Glad to hear they worked things out. Would have been a shame to lose a local quality lower abv PA.

4/LBD is a Grapefruit Sculpin. I absolutely love this beer. The grapefruit comes through so naturally. Its unique.

2 b d / Burnt Hickory Brewery Killdozer - Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine

Good god, these guys continue to impress me. Another limited bomber release, another splendid beer. First sip is all syrupy caramel goodness, giving way to some grassy dankness and long lingering toffee and roasted cashew. Hefty price tag for being local .. but being that it's so sought after and the quality matches the hype, I don't mind pay $12 bones.

Ro, do they have regular brews? All I've heard about are the bombers. My parents have a place outside Blairsville, GA and my father has found some around, but only bombers. I have a Big Shanty in my fridge.

No they don't produce beers in cans or 12 oz bottles as of yet. Seems like they're only interested in putting out more out of the ordinary varietals via bombers. They've to really miss on anything although not everything is top tier. Biggest complaint would be that some of their beers meant to be drank fresh linger on the shelves, but I don't know if that's really a majority their fault.

Big Shanty is killer btw.

Excited for when the time is right

Had a couple bottles of Didjits. Shared one with BR Krewe. Liked, but didn't love. A little shallow and dry. Appreciated the uniqueness, though.
I knew to have my dad score them, though, because of you GA folks posting and reviewing. Please keep up the good work.

i had it twice, both times when it was less than 2 weeks old. I love the level of blood orange flavor it gave off, but yeah it didn't blow anyone away I don't think. It's hard once you've had the likes of Ghost, Heady, Pliny, et. al. to go back to less than 97% BA rated IPAs and not be disappointed; but they have their place in the craft beer world. And I think Didjits fills that niche.
