I really like it. There is a lot to see and do. Mountains, coast, wildlife, great restaurants, weird people, etc... Oregon is beautiful and I find myself driving along and wanting to stop the car and get out and take a photo.
I always believe that every place has it's pluses and minuses. If I tried to compare Portland to Jacksonville based on the things I liked about Jacksonville, then I would not like Portland. Portland has different strong points. Obviously, beer is one of Portland's strong points.
Right now, the weather is much better in Florida, than it is here for every day activities. The reverse is true in the summer. However, I have world-class snow skiing 90 minutes from my home, which I can't enjoy in Florida.
Louisiana has it's own strengths and weaknesses. You will never find a ski-resort there, but there is hope that Louisiana will eventually have a better selection of great beers to go along with the great food and culture that is already there.

I've been really good about not drinking these past two weeks, but after my test tomorrow it's on. The testing center is conveniently located next to Pelican House. Looking forward to being back in the FBD game.
