3BD - Due South Cat 5 IPA

The best Florida made IPA I've encountered. 8.5% and 96 IBU's. A good hop bomb..

You're a little critical sometimes bro. It isn't too bad. They have all 3 Parish offerings, Nola ICS, whatever Abita select is distributed them at the time, plus other randoms like west coast IPA. I guess I'm saying it could be worse and its better than it was.
Sbd was Shiner Bock
3bd is a Miel Sauvage from Bayou Teche. I dig this one

I dig that name. Is the beer worthy? Is it an IRA, or something else?

Yes it is really good and it's labeled as an imperial red but I swear this is a cross between an imperial red and a black ipa. The malt backbone has some nuttiness to it which goes well with the hops. It's one of my wife's favorites.

Eta: and the lacing on this thing is damn impressive

I appreciate Tap Room. Best tap beer selection in Acadiana, unless you just show up to the tasting rooms and Parish or Bayou Teche and get something special.

Ground Patti on the other hand, only the Johnston (original) location.

Ahhhhhhhhh. The hell you say!

Blasphemy! Coming from a guy that basically has a reserved seat at CCB...makers if the glorious jai alai!

I am actually doing a self BXN at the end of the month. I miss JA so much since I moved from FL that I am going to ship a couple of cases to myself when I fly back to FL at the end of the month (February).

I swear, I think that might be my favorite beer of all. It's just perfect for me, my taste, and my style of drinking. Doesn't weigh me down and goes great with outdoor summer dranking,,,which is what I'm all about.

How is that one? Haven't been able to try any of their new stuff recently. Working now in TX and not St. Landry Parish means no more brewery stops in Arnaudville. Always enjoyed visiting with them at their place.
