SBD: Wrought Iron IPA.

NOLA peeps, what's a good spot to watch the LSU game on Tuesday in the city? Ideally a place with decent food since the wife won't be drinking and a good beer selection since I will be drinking.

If they play the sound, Barcadia isn't a bad place to watch.

Barcadia fricking blows. The crowd is so douchey it's unbearable. That's what happens when your main attractions are slutty bartenders and arcade games.

Deano maybe check out Rusty Nail if the weather is nice. They will most likely have a food truck outside, the patio is great and it's non-smoking.

Or if you want more of a place to sit down at a restaurant but watch the game I'd try something along Magazine like Rum House or Amici or the Bulldog.

Not for games.

Both Barcadia and The District, which are douchey, aren't during games. They're normal game atmosphere places.

I'd have never gone to either one during a game, but y'all from here are the ones who directed me there.
Barcadia serves better food than a lot of bars mentioned.

Was my next suggestion, although the food is meh.

To watch a football game at 2pm on a Tuesday? Not sure if there will be much atmosphere. And then if it's dead / boring he's going to be forced to walk across the street to Walk-On's.

Good food and good happy hour though

NBD is a Biere Noire. Flat flat. Idk if the bottle is bad or what. No carbonation. However flavor is nice. Nice coffee notes. Not over powering. Was somewhat billed as a black IPA so I wonder if the bottle lost the hops with the carbonation.

I've been to District for a Saints game. Still douchey. Would rather go to Lucy's. At least their beers aren't priced like you're at Cure.

kfizz .. I'm looking for a place to watch the game Tuesday. Not sure if any of my buddies are going to take off work but I'll live report from the field as I search for a good spot.

Made me because a friend works @ Cure and our last tab after a few hours there was $6.

I know what you mean though. I can't say I was the person paying any of the times I've been to The District, so I have no idea about the prices. We only ended up there for A&M because Barcadia was having their employee Christmas party, yet their boss still made them stay open, so they purposely didn't turn on the sound or really do anything to accommodate us.

These places suck so bad.

Fat Harry's or Cooter Browns is the correct answer.

Begged to go here on Thanksgiving and Jones said it would be way too uncomfortable/packed, so we didn't. I've still never been.
