How frowned upon is drinking beer while on antibiotics? I had some surgery done to parts of my gums and supposed to be on them for a week. This was Monday. I figure tomorrow I will take the one in the morning but not the other 2 as I will be drinking. Wont take any Saturday because drinking all day. Then get back on them on Sunday. Does this sound right or should I take them while drinking?

Yeah I am regardless. Just wondering if I were wasting them as I was told in the past that the antibiotics lose its effectiveness when drinking.

Take your antibiotics to prevent infection... or endocarditis if you have heart probs/defect. Depending on what antibiotic, you may feel a little nausea with alcohol, but everyone is different. Just saying... Take ya pills.
