Same here. My wife is cool about it as long as I am not driving.

YEP. Almost never an issue here in the city. MUNI or $20 cab from most of the city so I never drive.

I really liked it when it was a French Toast Ale.

Local options are quickly improving. I'm surprising another micro/craft brewery hasn't opened in New Orleans yet.

Laws need to catch up with the times. Texas is finally coming out of the dark ages so hopefully Louisiana is next.

It bothers me that California is head of us in something other then movies and landscape

Ha. It's likely that his wife is equally as cool as mine when it comes to going out with friends. When I head out with one group of friends she always makes some smart arse comment about "see you when you come home drunk after midnight."

Well, I made it home before midnight. Started as a beer tasting episode for a radio show. Got coerced into sticking around to record the whiskey tasting episode. 8 different whiskeys with some heavy handed pours. I can't tell you what any of them were other than #7 being a Jefferson 21 year.

They're pretty damn good man. Both of them. They are my favorites so far of the beers I bought since I got here.

TBD Pliny...wow...awesome. Deserves all the hype. Thank you LST and the BXN! I wanted to save it for this weekend but the damn bottle was staring at me every time I opened the fridge. The bottle does say "Pliny is for savoring not saving."

My first gueuze, all I can say is wow... Glad I did it, not something I'd do regularly...

Eta- my first framboise, I stand corrected!

I thought it may have been the best framboise I've had. I much prefer their Kriek though (less funk/must)

Eta: of course with these styles each batch (and even bottle) can vary.
